Using this technique, the practitioner will either put his palms on, or above, the individual. The energy in the palm motivates the energy to heal the body itself.

There is no factual evidence that palm healing or transfer of energy has healed anyone. However, those who believe in the are will tell you differently. Reiki can help heal an individual on different levels, including mind, body and soul. This means it can help emotional, physical and spiritual healing. It has many benefits, including the following:
